you can see the string—
unlike the others,
more than you,
who can’t.
And to be fair,
you’re one among your kind
who can tug them.
It isn’t a curse—
though it isn’t a blessing,
either.
Although—
it is you who gets to decide
what it is.
Is it kindness?
