Random Leaf #1845 IG

"How do you start a prayer?"

"It should begin with appreciation. Say first in your prayer how grateful you are for the blessings you received and will be receiving. This will also say that you notice the miracles that comes to your life. Then ask for forgiveness. Offer an apology for your misdeeds, both intended and unintentional. Do not reason why you did those things if you know yourself you are wrong. A wrong action no matter for what end it is will always be wrong. Just own up to it and promise that the next time an opportunity once again happen that you will try to be better. And once again remember things you haven't yet mentioned but you're supposed to be grateful for and once more say you are thankful. Yes, by this time you would be remembering things beyond your circle that is centered around you. This not only show you are noticing miracles but you are grateful for things that are to you supposed to be trivial. Remember to notice the small things."

"Then I ask for my wishes and requests, right?"

"If you want but there is an easier way to say all this things other than you having to list down things that you need and desire."

"Really? There is an easier way?"

"Yes, before ending your prayer without even having the need to say everything that you really need just say these magic words: Thy will be done."

"What?"

"You need not mention what is already planned out and what is already written."

"Isn't that.. a bit too faithful?"

"Too faithful?"

"You not needing to say what need in our prayers, isn't that a bit like saying, come what may or something?"

"Remember the teachings that Our Lord always have a plan for all of us and no matter what we will not be placed in situation we can not overcome."

"But.. but.."

"I know, I know. There are times when miracles are need most immediately and that having to struggle the routine of cruelty is just too much but there is a plan. There will always be."

"A friend of mine died last week. He.. himself. He couldn't take it anymore. Please tell me, is that also part of the plan?"

"I am sorry for your loss. All I could say though is that I am sure there is a plan but I am not the author."

"This is.. you being too faithful, isn't it?"

".. Our Lord always have a plan for each and everyone of us. We just don't know it or because we are being too blinded by many things that we are failing to see the miracles."

"What do you mean miracles? If you meant the rope and noose, the edge of tall buildings and well properly lined shoes or footwear left or even a simple blade and a pale wrist is what you can see the miracles then yes I am believing them. I know for a fact they are real. Those are the miracles we have."

"No."

"What do you mean no? Aren't those also part of the plan?"

"I cannot deny the existence of cruelty and injustice but those truths cannot deny the existence of miracles."

"Then tell me why. Why must people suffer and why people on the midst of their trial choose to off themselves? You said that we will not be placed in situations we cannot handle so why? Why did my friend chose.. chose just up and leave rather than face this.. this trial you say, why? Is this also part of this plan you keep on mentioning? If it is, such plan is flawed. How can I have faith when.. when such thing happened? I lost a friend, you know. A very dear friend. If this also part of the plan, it isn't just flawed. It is cruel."

A: “How do you start a prayer?”

B: “Start by expressing gratitude for the blessings you’ve received — and those still on the way. It reminds you that your life holds miracles, even the quiet ones. Then ask for forgiveness — offer an apology for your misdeeds, both intentional and unintentional. Don’t make excuses if you know you're wrong. Wrong is still wrong, no matter the reason. Own it, and promise that when a similar moment comes again, you’ll try to be better.

And then remember the things we usually forget — the tiny good things. Be grateful for those too. You’ll start noticing life beyond your own worries. Gratitude is also about noticing your neighbor.”

A: “Then I ask for my wishes and requests, right?”

B: “If you want. But there’s an easier way to say everything — without naming each need or desire.”

A: “Really? There’s an easier way?”

B: “Yes. Before ending your prayer, say these words: Thy will be done.”

A: “What?”

B: “You don’t need to name what’s already been written for you.”

A: “Isn’t that… a bit too faithful?”

B: “Too faithful?”

A: “If we don’t state our needs… isn’t that just ‘come what may’?”

B: “Remember the teaching: the Lord has a plan. We will not be placed in situations without a way through.”

A: “But… but…”

B: "I know. Sometimes miracles arrive late — and everyday cruelty gets too heavy to bear. But there is a plan. There always is.”

A: “…A friend of mine died last week. He… ended his own life. He couldn’t take it anymore. Tell me — is that also part of the plan?”

B: “I’m sorry for your loss. All I can say is that there is a plan — but I’m not the author.”

A: “This is you being too faithful again, isn’t it?”

B: “…The Lord always has a plan for each of us. Sometimes we simply don’t see it, or we’re blinded by too many things to recognize the miracles.”

A: “Miracles? If you mean ropes and nooses, neatly lined shoes on the edges of high-rises, a sharp blade on a pale wrist — oh, I’ve seen them. I know they’re real. Are those also miracles?”

B: “No.”

A: “What do you mean no? Aren’t those part of the plan too?"

B: “Yes, cruelty exists. Injustice exists. But so do miracles.”

A: “Then tell me why. Why must people suffer? Why do people, in the middle of their trials, choose to leave this world? You said we will not be placed in situations we cannot handle, so why?

Why did my friend leave instead of fighting through this so-called ‘trial’?

Is this all part of the plan you keep talking about?
If it is, then the plan is flawed — broken.
How can I have faith when this happened?
How can I keep faith after —
. . .
How can I still —
. . .
How can I still believe?

I lost a friend — a dear friend.

And if this is part of the plan, then it’s not just flawed.
It’s cruel.”

You are loved when
people come up with
their iwn excuse
because of your follies.

To them,
you were
never at fault.

To them,
you just
need a bit more love
that one's supposed to received.

They allow themselves
be misunderstood
and even accept
misunderstanding you,
for they love.

You are loved.

To those who have songs as opus,
it will always end in two things:
for one, the world will sing in your stead
and the other, you will sing for the world.
Both requires silence for the other
and in both your words will be an anthem.

"Please, save them."

"And this is?"

"Who do you think prayed this?"

"A prayer? I thought it was from someone begging for the lives of their family."

"Doesn't matter who you ask it from, it is a prayer as long as you wish or ask."

"As you say. So, who said it?"

"I'm the one asking."

"With your understanding of the afterlife and your view of yourself as the villain, you cannot change who you are. No matter what."

"What are you saying?"

"All I'm saying is that, your not an evil person through and through. You aren't. You are not."

"You say that with all the blood my hands swam in? You say I am not despite the many people I made suffer? You must be a fool."

"You not looking at me straight in the eyes says a lot of things. Your shaky hands and that the small gesture you unknowingly made a habit is what says otherwise. You never liked doing these, these evil deeds. And everytime you do, you look away. Don't tell me it isn't true, I am one who notices miracles cannot make mistake with a friend in need of.. company."

"You're just making a fool out of yourself. And don't overthink about these mannerisms of mine. And to tell you the truth, I feel grosses out you noticing me."

"I'm your friend, though."

And who among
told the quality
of true beauty?

For sure eyes
can be deceived.
Our ears can
also mishear things.
What we taste
can also be
honey tasting poison.
And of all
things shouldn't be,
both our feels
and our heart
can also be
tricked with something.

So let us
conclude it true
those without these
are ones to
judge who or
what is beautiful.

------

And who among
tells the measure
of true beauty?

For sure eyes
can be fooled.
Our ears often
mishear subtle things.
What we taste
may hide poison,
honey masking danger.
And of all
things that trick
both our feelings
and our hearts,
can also be
fooled by senses.

So let us
declare it true:
those without these
are the ones
to judge who
or what’s beautiful.

You ask me why
I hate rain in city.
I'll tell you,
The rain here does
not have that certain
fragrance, that sweet scent.
And the only way
to see the sky is
scribbled by windows
and walls and rooftops
of tall skyscrapers.
There is no purity here.
Here in the city,
the sky rains because she cries.
