Random Leaf #1464

One day, they will sing songs. Your songs. And they will all be anthems of a generation immemorial. Millenia hence will take you off from memory. But the melody made will bring back what will be lost.

"No matter how much you've changed, you simply cannot abandon your humanity."

"Says the rabbit who wears a top hat and a tux."

Random Leaf #1462

"Let's fondle the breast of this world together!!"

"What the heck are you saying?"

Random Leaf #1461

"Tell me, in your own truth, does true kindness actually exist?"

"Yes."

"Does it? Or is it because we want to gain favor? Or something like because believe if something to happen next in case we do something good? Or something like because someone asks us to do it?"

"Yes."

"Then it's not true kindness at all. We just become kind because we wanted something in return. We just become kind because someonr asked us to. Can we even call it kindness?"

"It's great kindness to make someone feel grateful to have ever lived, be it for a mere moment or even have them, at least, think that even there exist all of the many atrocities and misfortunes happening everywhere around us, the world can be beautiful."

"But that's not the point I'm getting at. I'm saying that the kindness people do are superficial. They are not doing it unconditionally."

"Be it not unconditionally. They may be aware or unaware that they are making this world beautiful. The gains kind people received is not the main point. In the bigger picture, it is never the point."

"Then what is?"

"I heard a great actor once said: the world is cruel, it does not have to be ugly."

"With that said, you're also saying people yearns to suffer?"

"..."

"Think about it, if people truly want to see that sad end you're saying, does it not mean they also want to be miserable?"

"We are all already miserable."

"Yesterday, I saw a guy who's smiling as if he just won the lottery. Today, the money pool has not yet reset."

"..."

"I don't think he's not thinking about any gloomy things at that moment, I assume."

"Earlier, I was happy for a moment..."

"..."

"..."

".. and??"

"Now I'm not."

"You're saying it's just a fleeting moment? Ephimeral?"

".. ephimeral?"

"Something short, a brief moment-"

"The golden hour is ephimeral."

"Exactly."

"Exactly."

Random Leaf #1459

Truth be told, we all want to see the bad end. Fuck the good ending, we want to see the heroes suffer. Of how great from their glory days they fall. Of how lonely and miserable the villains become after achieving their desire. We want to see all of that, not that fancy happy ever after sunset cruising on a boat ride ending. We all want to see the what if. We all want see how terribly terribly miserable the main characters will be. We're all just side and mob characters in their story, what difference would it be to us to see them fall, right? Right??

"How do I save her?"

"Save her from what? She was never in any danger, my friend."

"Save her from me."

"..."

"I am falling in love. It started with a few glances of infatuation. Now, I feel like I can't have a day without seeing her. It's become and obsession. Yes, yes!! It isn't love. It's more like an obsession. I am not in love. I'm just obsess."

".. Out of loneliness?"

"I'm lonely.."

"..."

"How can I save her?"

"Have you talked to her?"

"And what about the battles no one said to fight?"

"You don't seem to understand the phrase-"

"The miracles that happened, happens and will happen are mostly the most minute and trivial. We don't get to notice them as much until it's too late. For me to only fight the good fight while the other battle go to waste is simply a waste."

"That's not what it means-"

"I will fight all the battles life will throw at me. We have to notice every miracles that comes by."

"Then it would be a waste you lived. Miracles are the sum of all things we hardly noticed. It is life that is it's opus."

"And of the good fight?"

"It's a miracle we have to truly open our heart in order for us to notice."

"I.. I actually don't get it."

".. the good fight?"

"Yes."

"Don't worry, I don't get it either."

Random Leaf #1456

"When the first travelers left markers, did they intend them as signs for in case they want to return back or for if they want others to find them?"

"They both want to and not want to get lost."

Random Leaf #1455

"You know, I never once saw you falling in love. I mean, really falling in love so hard that you have to take a chance. Never once. There are plenty fishes out the sea, my friend. Why not catch one yourself?"

".. Where I'm going, I'm saving them the hassle of going with me. I'd rather catch myself my own death early on than, and get on with what's to come. Those fishes you mentioned can just keep swimming or just be caught by other better fishermen."

"Doesn't it get lonely?"

"It might get scalding or freezing. But whatever. I don't want those silly things crying or coming with me."

".. Doesn't it get lonely?"

"It doesn't always have to be myself, right? In my dream, there is a vast ocean filled with plenty of fishes of different looks and colors. I saw many boats by the dock. There were fishermen, either readying there gears for fishing or having just returned from a bountiful fishing. Their families too are there. They were either waving them goodbye or are welcoming them. They were all happy.

"And I'm standing on the edge of a very high cliff behind me is a forest. The trees on it's edge are welcoming and tall. I hear a few chirping of birds and feint whispers. I also heard the rustling and falling of gentle leaves and the creeking of the bark of aged tree. Other than those, there were nothing else. There were no one else."

"Did you get down the cliff and join the harvest?"

"I turned around and entered the forest."

".. Did you find anything?"

"Solitude."

Prayers are lullabies to the gods. Those words we utter are what keep them asleep. It's only our faith that's keeping us from giving up.

Random Leaf #1451

Atop the mountain he climbed, there were no trees to which he could tie the end of the noose he had made.

Random Leaf #1450

There were no signs of any poison in his veins. The vial of venom was there only to sidetrack us. No one noticed he was already drowning for quite sometime now. But how could anyone tell, the smile on his face as he toast a cup of wine laced with ground hemlock. Everyone did so back then. But it was not what killed him

One day, she just learned how to fly. A string hold her fast in case she'd fly away.
