Random Leaf #1585

"He kept on repeating, no more, no more, no more. Suddenly, he stopped. He's supposed to be mumbling on gibberish and trivial stuffs. But after he looked anxiously left and right as if looking for something. Or rather looking out for something. He just stopped. The eerie quiet and the cold and horrific ambience of the lonely hall we were in didn't help much. My guts were telling me to just up and leave. Doesn't matter if I know the guy or not. That's what my instinct was telling me. When I tried to turn around, he placed his hands on my shoulder. It was damp from his cold sweat, but that wasn't important. His grip was so much different from what we thought of him. It was firm, shivering and strong. I wanted to shake his hold off me but I gave up when he suddenly spoke. His voice deeper yet more clear, and there is a sinister reverb to it. He asked where Desiree was. The heck do I know who he was looking for. I tried answering back but his grip suddenly tightened. I fell to my knees. His grip was that strong. It was painful. And that's why my sleeve is this torned. So where're we eating tonight?"

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. How the- That's it? I mean, that's your explanation why you came here dressed like that?"

"Yeah. I'm craving for steak."

"And.. and.. who's Desiree?"

"No clue."

"And where's Orphel? I thought he was coming too?"

"He went off to find that girl, Desiree, he was looking for. After letting me go, he just started mumbling, I'm coming for you Desiree, or something."

"What?"

"But I want fries too. Can we go somewhere with steak and fries?"
