I was taken by surprise when
you took my hands.
You asked for a dance knowing I've never
yet opposite of you smile.
I wanted us to go back,
the music was too faint for us
to gently be in rhythm.
You smilingly refused.
The moment was there
clear as the cloudless night,
starry and reflected by the moon.
We were the only ones
in a garden full of facade and dead flowers
but you are beautiful.
