And what sort of fool
would give them light?
You're not a god!
You're no hero!
Why must you save them?
Is it vengeance you're after?
Does your heart still burn
from hatred towards all?
Or do you only want to be understood?
Speak!
The light bears no reason for sound.
Or do you want to be seen?
What with your horns and fangs
would do to apologize to their eyes?
The gods forsake you!
Yet to the ones they made and gave life,
you love.
