"Why are you crying?"
An angel asked a weeping child.
"I'm sad," the child replied.

"Why are you sad?"
Asked the angel in reply.
But, sadly, the child
Continued weeping.

"Why are you sad?"
Again the angel asked.
"Because... because..."
But the child continued to weep.

There was silence of voices
But child's sobs and weeps continued.
When much time had passed
The angel decided to leave.

The moment the angel was about
To take flight into the sky
A familiar voice spoke anew,
"Wait! Please. Stay..."

It was the child
Wishing for company.
The angel turned and sat beside the child.

"Why do you want me to stay?"
The angel asked.
"I'm lonely. Please stay," the child replied.
And that answered the angel's first question.
