Sing me My Elegy
In the rhythm of happiness,
Free of every day's sadness and the recurring madness.
You'll see me lie motionless
Inside my coffin listening and content to hear your voice exalting my descent
You might see me arrogantly life but in truth I am rejoicing.
Life a seed that mother nature held and will one day rise from the grave as an epic ceremony.
An unending story gone comedy.
By now I can feel it, all of it.
Tears falling, heart aching and emotions overflowing.
I too can hear the silent whispers of laughter with and at me,
The fool that died and the hero that achieved eternity.
[-]
I shall pray for you all the most exalting demise,
Fitting for queens and kings like all of you and I.
Though my only selfish wish
Would be to open my eyes,
To see you cry,
My palms to catch your tears,
My arms and shoulder to embrace you one last time
And my lips to bid you goodbye.
Then to close it once more to give you a parting kiss before I,
On my own,
Close the lid of my casket and bury myself in the pit of longing.

Again, I found this in my phone. I edited this because...
[-]
In hope of everyone around my pyre, giving my body the baptismal of fire
And my spirit immortality.

This was in the 3rd stanza. Unfortunately funeral by pyre and funeral in the cemetery have different process. The burning to ashes and the burying beneath the soil. I'm not into history so I don't know much about funerals.
This poem was actually a prose... because in the last 2 stanzas, in the note in my phone, there were no stanza at all. But a paragraph. So, again, I edited this to make it a poem. Though, if I remember it right, this was supposed to be a poem. Whatever...
