Random Leaf #1954 precisely cut

The timbers
that fell
can never
tell apart
the echoes
of truth
brought them
by madmen
and lumberjacks.

Both carried
glistening wood
yet cannot
for life
recall where
they became
or unbecome.

Only time
will tell,
as will
the many
leaves falling—
of stories
told and
tales untold.
